NOTES:
Mitel recommends configuring MiVoice Business to collect SMDR records so that the system administrator can correlate the PBX SMDR call records, PBX maintenance logs, and the ER Adviser logs. See Program External SMDR.
The ER TRAP notification is generated only by the set's controller in a cluster. The ER application must acknowledge the notification. If there is no acknowledgement, then the set's controller continues to send the notification for up to two hours.
To program notification for an ER application, such as, Emergency Response Adviser, Mitel Revolution, Mitel Mass Notification, and Mitel Performance Analytics:
Ensure that you have completed CESID Programming.
In the Shared
System Options form
Ensure that the Enable ER TRAPS field is set to "Yes".
Enter the following:
Trap IPAddress/FQDN for ER Notification - Enter the first ER application's IP address.
Trap IPAddress/FQDN for ER Notification Optional 1 - (Optional) Enter the second ER application's IP address.
Trap IPAddress/FQDN for ER Notification Optional 2 - (Optional) Enter the third ER application's IP address.
TRAP Community String - Enter the same value as entered in the ER application for the MiVoice Business system. This value must match the value entered in the SNMPv2c community string for read-write access field in the Solution Manager or Server Manager.
In the Solution Manager (Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB)) or Server Manager (for all the other platforms), do the following:
Enable SNMP.
In the SNMPv2c community string for read-write access field, enter the same value as entered in the ER application for the MiVoice Business system and must match the value specified in the TRAP Community String field in the Shared System Options form. The TRAP manager writes to the specified read-write community string for the MiVoice Business system's SNMP to acknowledge.
Repeat this step for all MiVoice Business systems in a cluster.
NOTE: If the ER application configured on a different subnet to that of the MiVoice Business system, then ensure that the subnet is added to the trusted networks in the Configuration > Networks page from the Server Manager.
Ring
Groups form
Set the Ring Group Type to "Emergency Response."
